Information You Send
Search terms
A name, place, or other detail entered into the site search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Mercer County Busted Mugshots does not store or maintain a separate log of those search terms. The provider’s handling of a submitted query is governed by its own privacy practices and terms.
Messages
When you send an email or use a contact form, we may retain the message, return address, and information you choose to include so that we can respond. We do not share message content outside our organization unless a legal requirement requires disclosure or a response needs to be routed through a service provider acting for us.
Technical and Visit Data
Like most websites, the service and its providers may collect limited technical information when a page is loaded. That information helps operate the site, measure use, and investigate reliability or security issues. It can include the following categories.
- Internet protocol address and general network information
- Browser type, version, and language settings
- Device type and operating-system information
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- Referring site or link, when one is supplied
- Visit date, time, and related diagnostic information
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand site use, remember technical preferences, and support advertising or analytics. You can block or limit cookies through browser settings. Some functions may work differently when cookies are disabled, and browser choices do not control the practices of external sites after you leave this one.
How Information Is Used
Information collected through the site is used for practical operating purposes. We use it to maintain and improve the service, respond to messages, and understand whether pages and tools are working as intended.
- Operate, secure, and improve the site
- Direct a submitted search to the appropriate partner service
- Measure which pages and features readers use
- Diagnose errors, abuse, and service interruptions
- Support advertising that may be based on interests or browsing activity
Links and Advertising Partners
The site links to sheriff contacts, court portals, corrections resources, custody locators, and outside search tools. A link does not transfer control of another site’s content, availability, privacy practices, or records process to Mercer County Busted Mugshots. Review the policy of each destination before submitting information there.
Advertising partners may collect activity across websites for interest-based advertising through their own systems. We do not control that collection or the ad partner’s choices. Their notices and opt-out tools explain the options available through those services.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold as a standalone product. It may, however, be processed or disclosed to the limited categories below when needed for the services described in this policy or when the law requires it.
- Search partners that process queries submitted through their tools
- Analytics providers that help measure site performance
- Advertising networks that serve or measure advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal order
Security Practices
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information handled through the site. No internet-connected service can promise complete security, however, and no transmission or stored data can be guaranteed breach-proof. Send only the information needed for your question and avoid placing sensitive identifiers in a general message.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor submitted information to us, contact us so that the submission can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
Your Privacy Choices
You may ask about personal information we hold from a direct message or contact submission. Requests are evaluated in light of the information available, applicable law, and the need to protect other users and the service.
- Request a copy of personal information held from a direct communication

Policy Revisions
We may revise this Privacy Policy as the site, its providers, or legal requirements change. An updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after posting means the revised policy applies to later use of the site.
